Jasdeep Singh Degun
Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, W1D 4HT , [Venue Details]Following the release of his debut album Anomaly on Real World Records, sitar virtuoso Jasdeep Singh Degun has rapidly emerged as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary classical and cross-cultural music.
His recent UK tours have drawn widespread acclaim, with performances at leading venues including Kings Place, Westminster Abbey, WOMAD Festival, Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall, and Southbank Centre. A standout moment came with his headline appearance at the Darbar Festival at the Barbican Centre, which was broadcast on Sky Arts.

His achievements have been recognised with major honours, including the Songlines Best Newcomer Award and an Asian Achievers Award. In 2024, he made history as the first sitar player - and first British-Asian musician - to receive the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Instrumentalist Award.
Looking ahead, Degun’s trajectory shows no sign of slowing down.
